We are honored to receive the honorary Gold Awards from Green Council on 2012. By achieving the award, it enhances the interests and beliefs of environmental concerns to our business partners; and promoting our mission as “to be a green corporate citizen” to the publics and stakeholders.

The competition granted our fellow colleagues opportunities to re-examine; reflect and re-organize our policies and inputs in a more systematic way; to gain new insights and plan ahead our involvement; and also helped to develop a sense of dedication and commitment on environmental concerns. Although green issues sounds like a moral code of conduct, it is in fact deeply ingrained in our business practices; and for us is becoming a catch phrase for “Corporate Social Responsibility”.

This is Chung Tai Printing (China) Co., Ltd ( (CTP) first time to join the “Hang Seng Pearl River Delta Environmental Awards” and the “Bronze Awards” has been achieved. CTP has formulated directions and policies on “environmental protection” and “sustainable development” and obtained a series of certificates and recognitions, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSC, ICTI, G7, GMI and OHSAS18001. In particular, the company views one of its missions as “To Be a Green Corporate Citizen” and actively pursues environmentally-friendly production and sustainable development as its long-term goal.

In its operations, CTP has promoted the use of ECO LED and Frequency Conversion Technology to improve energy saving, upgraded the sewage treatment system to collect and reuse waste water after treatment, and used cleaner fuel, namely natural gas, to power our boilers. CTP has also implemented the “5R Principle” to reduce and recycle our waste, carried out Cleaner Production Partnership Programme and Carbon Audit so as to achieve “Energy-saving, Reduction in Emission and Pursuit of Sustainable Development”.

In the past few years, the company has stepped up efforts to establish a green supply chain by implementing green purchasing and setting up an in-house laboratory to conduct environmental protection and quality tests with the aim of strengthening its environmental and quality control.

Important Considerations when Establishing an Environmental Objective

• Specific: Details of the project must be clear enough for all staffs to follow.
• Challenging: To motivate staffs to strive for continuous improvement.
• Consistent with organizational objectives: Targets set should deliver real benefits to the organization and should not conflict with its organizational interests.
• Corporate-wide: To allow for far-reaching achievement through the concerted efforts of all members of the organization.

Chung Tai Printing (China) Co., Ltd received the Hong Kong Green Awards – Green Management Award (Large Corporation) Gold Award in December 2011. We have the honor to obtain the award by Green Council second year. Through our green policies and practices, Chung Tai Printing demonstrated corporate social responsibility and supported environmental protection to enlarge our core business value.

Chung Tai Printing (China) Co., Ltd received the Hong Kong Green Awards – Green Purchaswi$e Award (Large Corporation) Gold Award in December 2010. This presentation was organized by the Hong Kong Green Council in its first year. This award is representing and demonstrating our responsibility to the society and the contribution to our green city. It helps to enhance the image of the Company.
